Welcome !

Why Join Scouting?
In 1930, the Boy Scouts of America created a new opportunity called Cub Scouting for boys younger than Boy Scout age. A year-round, home-centered program used by chartered organizations, Cub Scouting emphasizes involvement between boys and their parents, adult leaders, and friends. In the multidimensional plan of the Boy Scouts of America, Cub Scouting is where it all begins. Join Us in Pack 182

Cub Scouting has the following purposes:
* Influences a boy's character development and spiritual growth.
* Develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship.
* Encourage sportsmanship and pride. Grow strong in mind and body.
* Improve understanding within the family.
* Strengthen a boy's ability to get along with others.
* Foster personal achievement. Develop new interests and skills.
* Provide fun and exciting new things to do.
* Show a boy how to be helpful and do his best.
* Prepare him to be a Boy Scout.

Cub Scout Pack 182 is based in Ankeny, IA and currently serves the community through Crocker Elementary school; however membership is open to families from any school.

Pack Events, Announcements, Photos, and other content for our scouting families will be made available through this site. It is our goal to make this site your one-stop resource for all information related to Pack 182. Summer Picnic/Iowa Cubs Basebell Game

Posted on May 13 2012 - 2:50pm

We will have a Pack Picnic and attend the Iowa Cubs Baseball Game on Sunday June 10th.  The location will be determined but will be close to Principal Park.  This is the same date that Ankeny Little League will be at the game, but our seats will be  along the 1st Baseline in the shade and Little League is typically along 3rd Baseline towards the outfield.  We will try serving shortly after 11am to allow plenty of time to get to the game at 12:05.  If you chose to go to the picnic but not the game that is great we just need everyone to register by the 20th of May so that we can order tickets and food.   We will not be extending this deadline.  Please indicate in the comments section when you sign up if you are going to the picnic only, the game only or both.  The cost for the game is $5 per person and the cost of the picnic is free.  The menu will consist of Hot Dogs, Chips, Salad, a Bar and a Drink.
